If Your Firm's Message Gets Stuck in Complexity, New Online Service May Help
A New Jersey entrepreneur has launched an online service to help small-business owners market themselves to local and national audiences.
After several months of online testing and refining, EggZack.com went live to the general public in January.
The digital marketing and broadcasting platform requires users to perform only a single step before their information is automatically shared with the online community.
Entrepreneurs can post press releases about their businesses, along with events, new products and special offers, and disseminate that information to local and national Web sites, blogs and selected e-mail lists – all the places that customers look.
Jon Zack, founder and chief executive of EggZack.com, says business owners don’t have the time to learn about every new social-media and content site, so trying to navigate the Internet and get the word out about their companies can be overwhelming.
“We saw that the issue for the small-business owner was that local content got stuck in places where people couldn’t find it,” he explains. “As a result, they realized little value in publishing online, and today the majority of local content, the stuff that consumers want to know, is still not on the Web.”
Once business owners provide the content to EggZack.com, their job is done. Company personnel will automatically post the information through EggZack.com's one-stop digital publishing, marketing and broadcasting platform.
The company, which also has offices in San Francisco, began when Zack, in 2006, used his expertise in the technology field to help more than 400 small businesses in Hunterdon County, N.J., get their local content found, and read, on the Web.
EggZack.com also helps users manage their digital marketing. The service enables business owners to track where, and how many, people have read their material.
